James H Parker founded the company in 1970.  Since that time, Parker Systems, Inc. (PSI) quickly became, and continues to be a major supplier of environmental equipment worldwide.

PSI operates from our manufacturing & warehouse facility in Chesapeake, Virginia, which has over 26,000 square feet.  50% of the space is dedicated to manufacturing and the remaining is dedicated to maintaining our large inventory.

PSI is a manufacturer and distributor of environmental products.  Some of the products we manufacture include SpillMaster® Permanent and Response Containment Booms, SiltMaster® Turbidity Curtains, OilSnare® Viscous Oil Adsorbent products and various varieties of Heat-sealed and rotational molded products.

Our normal stocking level for SpillMaster® Response Boom is 10,000 feet of 18 inch boom (classified as Protected Water Boom by ASTM F 1523).  About 5,000 feet of this amount has dual tensioning, with a top cable and chain ballast member.  We also normally stock 2,000 to 4,000 feet of smaller Calm Water Boom (Permanent boom is built per order).

We are the original creator & manufacturer of OilSnare® Viscous Oil Adsorbent products, and probably the world's largest supplier of viscous oil adsorbents to the oil spill clean-up-industry.  Our average inventory of OilSnare product consists of 1,000 bags of OilSnare Singles, 5,000 bags of OilSnare on a Rope, and 1,000 bags of OilSnare Boom.  We can ship multiple truckloads on demand.

PSI also carries a full inventory of Oil, Universal, and Industrial Sorbents, and all associated HAZMAT clean up, storage, & transportation accessories, and much more.
