SuperFlex-
Oil Spill Containment Booms
| The
Economical solution to provide continuous facility protection and
containment. Combining the most advanced technology with many
years of production, Parker Systems, Inc. has produced a system
featuring easy deployment, high visibility and abrasion resistance.
The SpillMaster® SuperFlex Permanent Oil Spill Containment Boom is
designed for deployment at permanent sites such as waterfront oil
handling facilities, around ships in repair or storage. The SpillMaster®
SuperFlex oil spill
containment boom is more economical, lighter weight per foot, and has a
higher buoyancy to weight ratio than other permanent booms.

SuperFlex Float
18 - 3/8"L x 6"W x 10 - 3/8" H
|
-
Rotationally Molded
polyethylene shell with a nominal 1/8-inch wall thickness,
corners are approximately ¼-inch thick, providing great
structural integrity that make it impact resistant and long
lasting.
-
International Safety
Orange (Outrageous Orange) is our primary float color. This
particular shade is renowned for its ability to remain
colorfast. UV and Colorfast stabilizers added to ensure a long
life span.
-
The smaller length
of the float allows a larger separation between floats, thus
increasing the flexibility of the boom. Also, easier for small
boats to handle and tow.
-
We can manufacture
floats in any color a customer requires.
-
The hard-shell
floats are injected with polyurethane closed cell flotation
foam, that meets or exceeds US Coast Guard requirements for
flotation foam, and are hermetically sealed with minimal air
space to increase effectiveness and life span of the float.
-
Hand holds for easy
lifting
-
All edges of the
float are rounded to prevent the floats from gouging the barrier
fabric during flexing of the boom, allowing the fabric to handle
the stress of flexing with minimum wear.
-
Bolt on for easy
removal and replacement.
-
PSI keeps floats
readily available allowing replacement of floats as needed
rather than having to replace entire sections of boom, which
translates into less out-of-service time and improved cost
efficiency.
-
Float weight is 2.6
lb.
-
Accepts hardware
from ¼-inch to ½-inch.
-
Buoyancy ratio 6 - 1
for maximum freeboard
